Hundreds of predominantly Iraqi migrants who have travelled through Europe to reach Finland are turning back, saying they don’t want to stay in the sparsely-populated country on Europe’s northern frontier because it’s too cold and boring.

Migrants have in recent weeks been crossing back into Sweden at the Haparanda-Tornio border just an hour’s drive south of the Arctic Circle, and Finnish authorities have seen a rise in the number of cancelled asylum applications.

WEAPONS CACHE Found Hidden at Swedish Migrant Center. Security officials in Krokum Sweden found a large weapons cache concealed in the heating room at the migrant center.

Gun Crine A weapon cache was found last week at an asylum accommodation in Krokom in Jämtland inside the property’s heating chamber. According to reliable sources, Avpixlat has been in contact with both the police and the Security Service. The weapons were seized.

The weapons were detected when staff from a local energy company entered and read the meters of the boiler. They could not get in because the door was locked. After finding the master key, the staff could get in and then got to see what had been hidden in there, probably by the asylum seekers.

It was not a question of a small hunting guns, but several real firearms according to respondents. They then called the local police who in turn contacted the security police. At the County Police Department in Östersund was not known to the task of arms cache when Avpixlat called and could not refer to someone.

Krokom located between Östersund and Åre became known in 2013, when a local ICA retailer in the resort Kaxås wanted to show their support for the asylum seekers.

Evidence in the United Kingdom has emerged that sharia is ‘misused and applied in a way which is incompatible with the law,’ and is discriminating against women.

The UK government has finally agreed to investigate how sharia councils in Britain represent a parallel legal system, one that particularly discriminates against women and fails to protect them from violent husbands.

Baroness Cox, a member of the House of Lords, has been a leading voice over the years speaking out against the dangers of sharia
law. Friday, she led a debate in parliament about quasi-legal systems in Britain, such as sharia councils.

The move comes amid the government’s unveiling of its “Counter-Extremism Strategy” released last week. The document states the “overriding principle” of any religious arbitration body is that it must “operate within the rule of law in the UK.”

Residents in the German town of Ellwangen are reporting that thousands of migrants who recently arrived are defecating on people’s gardens, staging riots in church and stealing from local stores, while police in the area struggle to cope with the disorder.

Ellwangen, which has a population of around 23,500 and a strong Catholic community, was recently inundated with 4,500 asylum seekers who are staying in the old army barracks on the edge of town.

The original plan was to house just 500 immigrants, but this quickly ballooned to ten times that figure, at which point “serious mass brawls and conflicts” began, prompting the police to be called out routinely. The state government is set to fork out €5.1 million euros of taxpayer money to renovate and expand the barracks.

A friend of a local reports that store owners are struggling to do any business since people are afraid to go into town because of the migrants.

India’s Supreme Court Cancelled Online Censorship Law.

The Supreme Court has finally truck down controversial legislation, under which those who posted “offensive” comments on social media could be jailed. The move followed a 2-year campaign by free speech activists. The court decided that an amendment to India’s Information Technology Act was unconstitutional and called it a restriction on freedom of speech.

The legislation in question, which received presidential assent 6 years ago, declared posting offensive comments punishable by up to 3 years of prison time. According to campaigners, police repeatedly misused this amendment. For example, a few weeks ago a teenager was arrested for a Facebook post allegedly “carrying derogatory language against a community” wrongly attributed to a powerful local politician.

This was not the only case, as you can understand. For instance, a university professor was jailed for posting a cartoon about the minister of the state, 2 young women were arrested for criticizing the shutdown of Mumbai after the death of a local hardline politician, one of them being arrested for a simple “like”. Although a court later quashed those charges, they sparked fierce debate about Internet censorship in the country.

Now Indian politicians welcomed the recent court ruling, though some believe that the law in question should remain to prevent “misuse” of the worldwide web. The communications and law minister of India announced that the government had earlier believed that firm guidelines were required to ensure the legislation didn’t contradict with freedom of expression as guaranteed by the constitution. As for government lawyers, they had to admit that the legislation had been misused, but pointed out that they needed some means to regulate offensive content posted online.

Careful if you receive collection calls from sites that say they will take you to court over supposed download violations. Adult publisher Perfect 10 was ordered to pay $5.6 million in legal fees after failing copyright battle with Usenet provider Giganews. The US court heavily criticized Perfect 10 and described it as a serial litigator intended to function as a “tax write-off”.
Indeed, Perfect 10 has earned a reputation for profiting from suing tech companies for alleged copyright violation – it is known for targeting Google, Amazon, DepositFiles, RapidShare, MasterCard and Visa, and even hosting providers LeaseWeb and OVH.

The porn company has secured private settlements from some of the victims, but always failed a contested court case. Perhaps, Perfect 10 hoped to win the recent lawsuit against Usenet provider Giganews, but it has turned into a disaster. First of all, the U.S. District Court found that the Usenet provider was not responsible for the infringing activities of its users, and secondly, the adult publisher was roundly criticized for multiple failings. Finally, the judge ordered Perfect 10 to pay Giganews $5.6m in attorney’s fees and costs.

It turned out that Perfect 10 has never been a self-sustaining business and has lost over $50 million dollars at the very least. But this loss seems to be largely intended – the company simply wanted to show how it couldn’t make money because of online piracy. The court found out that over 50% of the revenues of Perfect 10 had been derived from settlements and default judgments.

In response, Giganews welcomed the court’s ruling, especially appreciating the court’s recognition of Perfect 10’s attack on its business model, which posed a serious threat to the public’s access to free and competitive expression.

Warning that the the refugee crisis is far from over, European leaders pledged €1 billion in humanitarian aid to help stem the daily waves of migrants landing on the beaches of Greece and Italy and heading north.

“It is clear the greatest tide of refugees and migrants is yet to come, so it’s clear that we need to correct the problem of open doors and windows,” said Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, after the summit wrapped up early Thursday morning. “Now the focus should be on external assistance to refugees and countries at our borders.”

Migrants at the Ter Apel camp in the Netherlands have complained about feeling “bored”, having to eat bad food and not having fast enough internet.

A video posted on Live Leak shows the migrants, who many believe to be desperately poor refugees, complaining about the lack of home comforts in the camp.

One says how “breakfast is small, lunch small” with another adding how “bored” they all feel. “You can just eat, sleep, use the slow internet, it’s so bad.” Keep reading, there’s more stupidity below!
