Hypocrisy is plumbing new depths. Think what you will about Donald Trump’s remarks that the US ought not to allow any more Muslims to enter the USA.

Donald Trump has always courted controversy, and on this issue there are those who agree with him owing to what is perceived as a massive US security problem, and there are those who say that these are the words and discriminatory attitudes of a dyed-in-the-wool racist.

This latter is interesting – the notion that keeping people out of your country because of their ethnicity and/or religion is racist behaviour.

Because here’s a question to the international community – prominent among them being the leaders of some of the most vicious anti-Semitic Islamist regimes in the world – who harshly criticise Trump’s remarks:

Where is your equally indignant outcry over the fact that Saudi Arabia – currently chair of the UN’s Human Rights Council – will not allow Israelis into the country? More than that, Saudi Arabia has also tried barring all Jews from entering the country but was forced to reluctantly back down because quite a few high-ranking US diplomats are in fact Jews. More so, in Saudi Arabia, no churches or temples or synagogues are allowed, and religious books whether Christian or Jewish are confiscated at the border. More than that, Saudi Arabia has roads – public highways – that are barred to non-Muslims. Read that again: Saudi Arabia, which calls Donald Trump an anti-Muslim racist, cheerfully imposes apartheid on the basis of both nationality and religion.

With nary a word of criticism from all those international leaders currently expressing indignation over Donald Trump’s words.

Of course Saudi Arabia is not alone in imposing bans on the entry of entire groups of people based on their nationality and/or religion. Here’s a selection of just some countries that refuse to allow Israelis to cross their borders: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, Malaysia, Pakistan, Indonesia, UAE.

And then there’s that darling of the international community, the Palestinian Authority’s Mahmud Abbas and his “Palestine”. Mahmud Abbas openly says that no Jews will be allowed in his country. Once again, read that carefully: no Jews to be allowed in a country that owes its existence solely – SOLELY – to the benevolence of the international community. An international community that underwrites “Palestine’s” every expense from electricity (the PA has a debt in unpaid bills to the provider, Israel, totalling 492 million dollars), to education (funded by UNRWA), to the massive lifelong pensions paid to the most “successful” mass-murderers of Jewish civilians (funded largely by taxpayers in Europe through various EU government-supported “NGOs”).

So here’s a thing. If you are outraged over Donald Trump’s comments, which you perceive as racist or specifically directed against Muslims, but you have refrained from criticising the anti-Semitic and illegal barring of Israeli citizens from travelling freely, then please have the courage and honesty to openly admit that you are indeed a racist yourself. The sort of person who willingly subjects Jews and/or Israelis to selective negative treatment or, at best, conveniently ignores those leaders and countries that do so.

Because when you condemn Donald Trump for discriminatory words, but routinely ignore actual, existing, discriminatory practices by Muslim states against Jews and/or Israelis, you are yourself an active racist aiding and abetting some of the worst, most vicious anti-Semitic regimes and individuals in the international community.

And yes, David Cameron, Barack Obama, Ban Ki-Moon, Francois Hollande, Stefan Löfven, Mahmud Abbas et al – these words are directed straight at you.

Do you have the courage to openly admit that you are closet racists? Wouldn’t you feel better if you came out of the closet?

The time for discriminatory practices based on religion and/or nationality is over. Because the era when racism was acceptable is also well and truly over in our enlightened world in 2015.

You cannot possibly condemn Donald Trump’s discriminatory words without condemning the discriminatory practices of so much of the Islamic world.
