Pope Francis Supports Free Speech, Unless It Offends People

“You cannot provoke,” the pope says, endorsing the terrorist’s veto.

I can not say I was to happy to read this about my Pope but then as a religious leader it is to be expected for him to make that comment because let’s face it religions of all strips may detest each other but they also defend each other since pretty well all religion is about control.

Today Pope Francis aligned himself with those who, after witnessing a massacre in retaliation for cartoons, say freedom of speech should be protected as long as it does not upset people too much:Pope-Francis-cropped

Pope Francis said Thursday there are limits to freedom of expression, especially when it insults or ridicules someone’s faith.

Francis spoke about the Paris terror attacks while en route to the Philippines, defending free speech as not only a fundamental human right but Keep reading, there’s more outrage below!

How Muslim Scholars View Paris Attack (In-depth)

I thought these articles are worth sharing.
By Shari`ah Staff
Muslim scholars responded quickly to the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo which killed 12 and injured 10. Slamming the incident as un-Islamic, scholars express anger towards the perpetrators who “betrayed and tainted” Islam rather than defended it. In addition to vehemently condemning the attack, the scholars’ comments reflected a concern about the damage it causes to the image of Islam and Muslims.

Here’s How Arab Papers Reacted to the ‘Charlie Hebdo’ Massacre

f you thought the Arab world celebrated the attack on Charlie Hebdo as a blow against blasphemers, some Arab-language newspapers tell a different story.

Many newspapers across the Arab world have published cartoons expressing solidarity and support with the French satirical newspaper, much those published by Western cartoonists just hours after the attack.

But cartoonists find themselves in a difficult position: Despite the alleged wave of democratization that swept the region during the Arab Spring, free expression is still very much in danger across the region.

“Nearly four years later, many people are still watching their step,” Keep reading, there’s more!

As a Muslim, I’m Fed Up With the Hypocrisy of the Free Speech Fundamentalists

Writer Mehdi Hasan has written and article that is quite good but I feel I just have to make various comments on it.
Here we go.

Dear liberal pundit,

You and I didn’t like George W Bush. Remember his puerile declaration after 9/11 that “either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists”? Yet now, in the wake of another horrific terrorist attack, you appear to have updated Dubya’s slogan: either you are with free speech… or you are against it. Either vous êtes Charlie Hebdo… or you’re a freedom-hating fanatic.

I’m writing to you to make a simple request: please stop. You think you’re defying the terrorists when, in reality, you’re playing into their bloodstained hands by dividing and demonizing. Us and them. The enlightened and liberal west v the backward, barbaric Muslims. The massacre in Paris on 7 January was, you keep telling us, an attack on free speech. (ACTUALLY THE TERRORISTS THEMSELVES MADE IT CLEAR THAT IT WAS AN ATTACK ON FREE SPEECH. I GUESS YOU DID NOT HEAR THAT PART) The conservative former French president Nicolas Sarkozy agrees, calling it “a war declared on civilisation”. So, too, does the liberal-left pin-up Jon Snow, who crassly tweeted about a “clash of civilisations” and referred to “Europe’s belief in freedom of expression”.

In the midst of all the post-Paris grief, hypocrisy and hyperbole abounds. Yes, the attack was an act of unquantifiable evil; an inexcusable and merciless murder of innocents. (WELL WE AT LEAST AGREE ON THAT) But was it really a “bid to assassinate” free speech Keep reading, there’s more outrageous crap below!

Praise Muslims for condemning attacks, but blame Islam’s ‘bad ideas’

Real Time host Bill Maher continued his criticism of Islam during Friday’s episode, saying the problems with the religion come from both establishment figures and extremists.

“To me the real fight is not Islam versus the West,” Democratic Party strategist Paul Begala said during the panel discussion. “It’s within Islam. Between the terrorists and the tolerant. Between al-Qaeda and Malala [Yousafzai].”

Salman Rushdie Religion a ‘medieval form of unreason…words of wisdom.

Author Salman Rushdie — who had a fatwa placed on his head after publishing The Satanic Verses in 1988 — made a statement today about the attack on the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo that left 12 people dead.

In the linked statement, Rushdie said that “[r]eligion, a medieval form of unreason, when combined with modern weaponry becomes a real threat to our freedoms.”

In Paris’s Muslim Suburbs, Some Blame Jews for Charlie

In France, the projects don’t look like ghettoes, but they’re filled with a poisonous mix of conspiracy theories and a some support for murderous jihadis.

As more than 1.5 million people, including 40 world leaders, converged on Paris on Sunday to rally for unity after terrorist attacks that left 17 innocent people dead, three young men in tracksuits and hoodies lounged outside a fast-food restaurant 10 miles north of the city in Sevran, one of France’s poorest suburbs.

Mehdi Boular, 24, who said he was married with two children, and two of his friends, did not attend Sunday’s rally.

“We’re Muslims,” Boular said. “They might have killed us if we’d gone.” Keep reading, more to think about below!

Controversial novel on France under Islamist rule released amid shock over Paris attack

This article came out on January 7, 2015 amid all the turmoil with the Hebdo killings in France.

A highly controversial novel, imagining France under Islamist leadership in the near future, has hit stores. The release shockingly coincided with a terror attack on a satirical newspaper that published cartoons of Muslim leaders and the Prophet Muhammad.

The author of the novel, star French writer Michel Houellebecq, denies accusations of instigating Islamophobia with a book his critics say was a gift to the French right-wing.

Houellebecq argues he is politically “neutral” and the book titled ‘Soumission’ (Submission) is only an attempt at lifting a taboo on discussing Islam.

‘No-Go Zones’ in France Restrict Citizens & Allow Islamists to Conquer Territory Without Firing a Shot

The national motto of France is Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood), yet non-Muslim French citizens are forbidden from entering “no-go zones” throughout France, where Sharia law rules and radicals recruit new followers openly.

When we came to Canada we formed communities mostly to feel comfortable and to lend each other support. This was done to give us time to acclimate to our new society…to blend in. As many new immigrants do, Muslim immigrants have formed communities in France, but with one exception. Often, they aren’t integrating into French society at all, like other immigrants, according to an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend Saturday with military veteran and journalist Nolan Peterson. Scientists have put a worm’s brain into a Lego robot’s body – and it works

Come on….you know this sounds super cool. I bet, though, that you didn’t even think a worm had a brain. Actually i thought they had two brains…one on each end. Hey you cut them in half and they seem to go in opposite directions. Anyway this little story is rather wormtriguing. Read on you may enjoy something that has no politics attached to it.

The brainwaves of a parasitic roundworm are now driving a Lego robot.
When you think about it, the brain is really nothing more than a collection of electrical signals. If we can learn to catalogue those then, in theory, you can upload someone’s mind onto a computer, allowing them to live forever as a digital form of consciousness, just like in the Johnny Depp film Transcendence.

But it’s not just science fiction. Keep reading, more amazing things to see below!

Bill Maher: Hundreds of Millions of Muslims Support Attack on Charlie Hebdo

You know things are bad when the only leading voice in the leftist-controlled mainstream media to speak candidly about the jihad threat is Bill Maher. But he is, and ….he’s very good at it.

Politically correct liberals have turned America into “Pussy Nation”.

I do not agree with Bill Maher on a multitude of issues (the list is too long to rattle off here) but he is, bar none, singular and brave on Islam. There is no one else given this platform to speak these harsh truths. It had to be a liberal.

It’s a pity that Maher doesn’t host more counter jihadists on his own show.

Internet terrorists go after killer religious terrorists

Oh yeah, here we go. I tell you, I would hate to have underground activist group “Anonymous” going after my ass. Well these guys have just laid down the law of ISIS terrorists, and to say they are not mincing words is an understatement. Listen to the video. Also ask yourselves if this is not just the opening salvo in a war that will soon get out of hand.

They are still peaceful while bombing their own

Turkey bombing: Female suicide attacker hits Istanbul police station. Yes folks you may think that Islamic suicide bombers are only after the WESTERN INFIDEL, well you’re wrong. They like to blow each up all the time and here is another such case that just happened in early January.

A female suicide bomber has blown herself up in the Turkish city of Istanbul, killing one police officer and injuring another, officials say.

She targeted a police station in the tourist hub of Sultanahmet, near the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia museum.

The woman spoke English with “a thick accent”, but her nationality and identity remained unknown, Istanbul governor Vasip Sahin told Turkish TV.

No group has yet said it was behind the attack, the second on police in a week.

Police arrested a man who threw grenades and fired a weapon at officers near the prime minister’s office last Thursday, but no-one was injured in that attack.

The bomber in the latest incident died in the attack.

Islam is the Most Violent Religion in the World, But Let’s Keep Calling it ‘Peaceful’ Anyway

Obviously right now there is lots of this stuff going around on the web with the killings in Paris. We are all upset and afraid and angry at the same time. We want to be sad but we are angry and really angry at these sorry excuses for human beings. We want to feel safe but we wonder when an attack is around our corner. We want to be understanding of other religious beliefs but the situation stretches our abilities to feel good about those that could turn against our way of life at a moments notice. We hate feeling this way because some of those we watch from the corner of our eye are those who we often call friends or co-workers. We want to feel safe but we see what is happening around the world and even here at home. So how do we do this? We do not know yet.

Thoughts by writer Matt Walsh that seem to hit things pretty well on the head.

And here we are again. You might recognize this place. We’ve been here frequently over the past, say, 1,500 years or so. It’s the place where the whole world stands in dumbfounded shock after witnessing unspeakable brutality at the hands of Islamists. Maybe we should stop being so surprised.

Far from targeting Muslims in particular, the satirical newspaper has ridiculed everyone from English people to the Pope. Here are some covers

Ottawa satirical magazine ‘Frank’ to publish ‘Charlie Hebdo’ cartoons

Good for them. We have to stand up to this pricks and not stick our heads in our shells and crawl away. We have to protect our liberties at the cost of ANY religion.

TORONTO — The editor of Canadian satirical magazine Frank called Wednesday’s attack on French publication Charlie Hebdo “unbelievably terrible” and said he will publish the same cartoons that may have sparked the attack.

“We’re going to run a couple of their cartoon covers in solidarity,” Michael Bate told Global News. “We’re going to post one on the homepage and we’ll have them in the print edition.” Keep reading, there’s more info!
