I’m going to try not to sound like a real asshole here but sooner or later something has to be done about crazy, rude and ignorant scooter drivers. I feel sorry for anyone who has to resort to using one of those motorized vehicles but I don’t think they should be allowed to run roughshode over pedestrians. They drive them too fast on the sidewalk and many have become terrors in malls. Today, I was in Toronto walking around city hall when I hear a guy shouting at a pedastrian to get the f%#k out if his way. The guy looked at this old guy and kept walking and then slowly moved out of the way at which point he yells at me to move. I turned to him and told him that since he is a motorized vehicle he has to watch for pedestrians …..holy shit on a stick the guy just tore in to me, swearing and screaming at me and then he grabbed my arm and told me he was going to get up and beat the crap out of me….needless to say my response was less then polite but I walked away because I realized the guy was looney for coco puffs. Unfortunately, I’ve seen these people run over peoples feet and bump them et cetra and never I have seen one apologize even though I’ m sure some must. Even so I certainly think it’s time that police start ticketing them when they act this way. I believe they fall under the motorized vehicle act and thusly should conform to the rules. I wonder how many people have to be seriuosly hurt before these Mad Max’s are stopped?

I was reading an article in the Globe and Mall today (Sept.. 10) talking about how the workers are getting deeper and deeper in debt and barely live month to month on their paycheque. Wages shrink our not increase but costs for product and utilities escalate. The banks say that the way things are going savings are non-existant or shrinking as people live month to month. Obviously this is very true but it sure doesn’t stop us from spending. I found it funny that next to that article are a few pages about Apples new phone and watch. The watch will sell for $350 and the new Iphone will sell for over $700. Right there is a bring problem… We keep spending for these gadgets that keep coming out every year… New super TVs…..new super cars… All trying to get the dollar we don’t have.. So we usé thé credit card and get deeper into the hole. What is more insulting is that companies send their product to other countries depriving worker from here a decent wage with which to buy more shit. Forget the idea of getting ahead folks corporations and governments seem to want to keep us in debt because they want all the money they can squeeze from us. We just have to stop buying their expense shit and prices will come down but we won’ t because we are being conditioned to want more of their expense shit. We are doomed..

After much thought I figured out why the Islam religion bothers me. It has turned me from a very tolerant person to an intolerant one. I hate it because it makes me suspicious of some very good people who I have known for a long time. It makes me suspect some people who really only want a good life but are afraid to change because of retribution from their own. I hate it because so many put this religion above loyalty to their new home. I hate it because when I studied the religion in college, I defended it to others because so much of it made good sense. Now I see it as a religion controlled by religious leaders that just want power and control. To control people they dictate lifestyles, spout misogyny, tells women their bodies are so precious to a male they must hide it but worse of all they tell young men to go out and die so they can go to heaven faster. I hate it because it can not bring itself out of the medieval age and join the real world. I hate that it terrifies me for the world of the future. Still I hate it most of all because it has me writing about how intolerant I have become. Thanks for nothing.
