Carat Predicts Short Life for Most New Broadcast Shows
By Jon Lafayette Only three of the new shows being introduced by the broadcast networks have a chance of moving on to a sophomore season, a report by media buyer Carat predicts. CBS's "The Class" and "Shark," along with "'Til Death" on Fox, are likely to be the successful shows, according to Shari Anne Brill, VP and director of programming for Carat. In the report, Ms. Brill said she expects ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" to win in the 18 to 49 demographic in its new Thursday 9 p.m. time slot against CBS's "CSI," but that CBS will win the night-a key one for advertisers-overall. |
