'Mission: Impossible' Star, Dies 83

Died: March 14, 2010 (aged 83) Pacific Palisades, California

Peter Graves was an American film and television actor. He was known for his starring role in the television series Mission: Impossible from 1967 to 1973, and its revival, from 1988 to 1990. He was the younger brother of character actor James Arness.

Death of Peter Graves
Graves died on March 14, 2010, just four days prior to his 84th birthday. He collapsed outside his home in Pacific Palisades, shortly after returning from a Sunday brunch with his family. His daughter tried to revive him, but failed. According to Graves' business manager, Graves died of a heart attack

Awards
Peter Graves won a Golden Globe Award in 1971 for his role as Jim Phelps in the series Mission: Impossible. He won an Emmy Award for outstanding informational series in 1997 as host of A&E Biography
