Well, they’ve certainly tried to kill it, but apparently being dead didn’t take for Futurama. According to Variety, the cartoon series from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and David X. Cohen ran on Fox from 1999 to 2003, then on four direct-to-DVD episodes before settling into a popular rerun pattern on Comedy Central.
The cable channel will begin airing the new episodes in mid-2010. Variety also reported that original series voice actors Billy West (Fry), Katey Sagal (Leela) and John DiMaggio (Bender) have all signed on to return.
Well, it's about time they realized it shouldn't have been cancelled.
