Tales From Creepy and Eerie Magazines Coming to the Big Screen.
Feb 25, 2007
According to Variety, Gotham-based Submarine Entertainment and Grand Canal Film Works have just secured the rights to Creepy and Eerie comics. The plan right now for the company is to develop the comics for film or television. They are also looking to develop them as independent projects but they may settle some of them in with other big studios.
Now the term comic is used rather loosely when in fact Creepy and Eerie comics were more like magazines with several stories within. They were originally published in the late 60s into the early 80s by Warren Publishing. Each of the stories were of course horror or sci fi based but the new owners declare that they will make the Creepy comics horror based and Eerie grounded in sci-fi.
